I hear the bells from my bed as I soak in silken night their hopeless cheerful chattering takes the place of fearful light. But as my fingers move to ward away the frightening sound it vanishes pushed far from me and leaves me here to drown. High above the clamoring water the bud stands tall and proud her petals as hands hiding her heart from all who might tear it out. High above the swirling water the bud stands nervous, shivering now her petals as hands clutching her heart knowing that soon she will tire and let her hands down. High above the churning water the first petal loses its grip and falls down her petals now abandon her sacred heart leaving within exposed to without. High above the silent water the lotus lays open, perfectly round her petals sit safely framing her heart in a spiral that sits as a fallen shroud.

Time passes slowly as the second hand of the clock on the wall is dragged, defeated, around the clock in an endless victory lap. My view from the corner is unobstructed, letting me watch and wonder if the hands of the clock battle every day before we arrive or even wake up. Titters move around the classroom. The teacher is glaring at me, the lifeless rocks of her eyes narrowing. I pick up my pencil and write something from the board. She glances away. My eyes go back to the clock. 1:20. I think I've worn these shoes too long. Their soles rotted and the toes open to see the air but trapped inside. I think I've used these eyes too long. They confuse my already dying senses and live only on glass life-support. I think I've used this body too long. My limbs bloat out like a sore from my bones. My brain leaks out thoughts into the sludgy street. It is time to begin again.

Happy Holidays, everybody! Sorry that I haven't been on in like...a week and a half. I had wicked and awful flu, so I haven't done anything but lay in bed and be sad for that time. Anyway, I'm back on my feet. I have been for the past couple of days, but I have also started picking up extra shifts at work since I'm done with my finals and all that, so I can work more to make extra money. So I have been working nonstop 10 hour shifts lol I took today off cause I felt just awful. But I have 10 hour shifts the rest of the week, minus my day off on Thursday. :lol: It'll be worth it when I get paid. I am also wanting to buy a new tablet for myself

I'll join in on the fun and follow the many before me :D Happy birthday DA, thank you for existing! Not much of a present, but here's my 'story'! March 10 2013, I was having a 'sleepover' with a friend, MinsaChan (https://www.deviantart.com/minsachan) to be exact. We had a meeting with a group of friends in Zwolle and afterwards she came with me, too my home 'up north'. She is an amazing artist herself, and a sweet girl, a good person and she had read some of my poetry. She said to me, 'I think this is something for you!', she showed me the site and I got enthusiastic, I wanted to join. My friend told me that cross-roads taught lessons, that on the hangings of cliffs wisdom creeps into our hands and fills us with knowledge that evaded us, knowledge that would have led us to a different road. Life teaches the greatest lessons in the worst of times and we learn things through hindsight that give us the spark of truth and the torch that leads others through doors only opened with keys we picked up with guns to our heads. She talked of nothing but these things. She's dead now. But not in vain, because I will pick up her torch and carry it to her grave. I will see her soon.
